The Glen Oaks Homeowners' Association is run by volunteers, other homeowners like yourself. This keeps our dues low. The bulk of our dues (67%) pay to maintain the common areas - the grass strip along Walker which is almost 0.4 of a mile long, the three brick planters at the entrances to Glen Oaks, the trees along Walker Ave. and the drainage pond on the southeast corner of 137th and Walker. Another 12% pays the water and electric bills. We spend a few hundred dollars each year on lawyer's fees to file liens on owners who don't pay their dues. And of course there are the costs of sending letters to homeowners, maintaining a post office box and repairs to our sprinkler system.
Be sure to include the house address for porper credit.
